Hope Joy Nelson (she/her) is the Communications Coordinator at the Center for Public Health Law Research, where she manages a variety of outreach initiatives. Her responsibilities include developing communication strategies, social media management, conducting data analysis, and creating content.

Before joining the CPHLR, Hope gained diverse experience both nationally and internationally. She began her career in digital communication at Beloit College where she worked part-time as a graphic designer and experienced her first taste of utilizing her skills in the professional workplace. Hope then spent a year in Ireland as the social media and marketing manager at O’Mahony’s Booksellers, the country’s largest independent bookstore. There, she developed this new role through the formation and execution of a new marketing strategy as well as conducting day-to-day responsibilities such as content creation and promotional marketing.

Hope recently graduated with honors from Beloit College with a B.A in International Economics and Media Studies. During her time at Beloit, she secured funding for various media-related projects including the Barbara and Bill Haseltine prize. Hope prides herself in her ability to connect and convey information to various audiences effectively and is excited to practice and grow her skills at Temple.
