Legal Training Manager
Joshua Waimberg is the Legal Training Manager for the Policy Surveillance Program. Mr. Waimberg oversees the policy surveillance program. He is also responsible for researching, analyzing, and coding laws for the creation of legal datasets on LawAtlas.org. He has worked on cross-sectional and longitudinal datasets related to e-cigarettes, unemployment insurance, health impact assessments, and youth traumatic brain injuries.
Prior to joining the Policy Surveillance Program, Mr. Waimberg was a Legal Fellow at the National Constitution Center, where he conducted legal research and writing on constitutional law. While in law school, Mr. Waimberg participated in the D.C. Law Students in Court, Civil Division clinic program, where he worked as a student attorney and provided legal representation to low-income clients in D.C. Landlord and Tenant Court. He also gained experience through internships with the New York Civil Liberties Union, the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project, and the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, Mental Health Division.
Mr. Waimberg has a B.A. from Eugene Lang College, The New School for Liberal Arts, and a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School.
Mr. Waimberg is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
