Law and Policy Analyst 

CPHLR is seeking applications for a Law and Policy Analyst. The Law and Policy Analyst reports to the Center’s Research and Operations Director, while working closely with a dynamic team of lawyers and public policy professionals dedicated to using law to improve public health and advance health equity nationally and globally. The Law and Policy Analyst will be primarily responsible for contributing to scientific legal mapping projects by researching and analyzing statutory and regulatory laws and policies across emerging public health topics. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent research and writing skills, the ability to handle multiple competing deadlines, the proven ability to analyze, synthesize and translate research findings for diverse audiences, and the ability to contribute to publications and presentations on the Center’s work. Training on the Center’s scientific legal mapping methods and coding software platform, MonQcle, will be provided to the Law and Policy Analyst. 

This is a full-time, fully grant-funded position starting at $61,000. The Law and Policy Analyst position is a T-27 salary grade and benefits level. This is currently a hybrid position, which is mostly remote, but may require that the selected candidate report to the CPHLR office at the Beasley School of Law, Temple University in Philadelphia, PA a few times a year, as needed. There is permanent CPHLR office space available at Temple University if working on campus is preferred.   

Communications Coordinator

CPHLR is seeking applicants to fill one full-time Communications Coordinator position that will support communication and outreach efforts led by the Director of Communications. The Communications Coordinator will have a broad range of responsibilities and must have the diverse skills to support the in-house communications arm of this institution. The Communications Coordinator will primarily be responsible for supporting the production of data visualizations, video, online and print collateral, presentations, and press relations and marketing materials (press releases, e-newsletters, etc.). They will help manage social media accounts and updates to content on project websites; support brand consistency within and across the projects; and complete other tasks necessary for successful day-to-day communications and network-building for the Center’s projects. These duties will require the applicant to translate and communicate research and data for key stakeholder audiences including media, policymakers, advocates, and the general public. 

This is a full-time, fully grant-funded position starting at $48,000. The Communications Coordinator position is a T-24 salary grade and benefits level. This is currently a hybrid position, which is mostly remote, but may require that the selected candidate report to the CPHLR office at the Beasley School of Law, Temple University in Philadelphia, PA a few times a year, as needed. There is permanent CPHLR office space available at Temple University if working on campus is preferred.
