Roots Picnic at The Mann in Fairmount Park | June 1-2

The Roots Picnic returns to the Mann in Fairmount Park for two days of music, art, and culture on Saturday and Sunday, June 1-2, 2024!

Multi-GRAMMY Award-winning legend Lil Wayne will headline the festival with The Roots and special guests PJ Morton, and Trombone Shorty. Additionally, powerhouse Jill Scott will co-headline and continue to captivate with spirit, style, and soul in her hometown of Philadelphia. The festival notably welcomes Victoria Monét, André 3000, and Gunna to Philadelphia as some of the weekend’s marquee acts. The impressive and eclectic lineup also features Sexyy Red, Tyla, Smino, Babyface, Adam Blackstone featuring Fantasia & Muni Long, Cam’ron, Nas, Wale, Robert Glasper featuring Yebba, Tasha Cobbs Leonard and more. ODUNDE Festival | June 2-9

The country’s largest Black and African American cultural festival – now in its 49th year and drawing nearly 500,000 attendees – brings an authentic taste of Africa to South Philadelphia. ODUNDE begins with a week of events and culminates on Sunday, June 9, 2024 with an outdoor festival featuring dozens of vendors, live music and performances, and pay-as-you-go African, Caribbean and soul food dishes.

Bonnie Raitt: Just Like That… | June 7, 7 pm ET

Purchase tickets for a night of Americana, folk music at The Met located on North Broad Street, The Met Philadelphia, the former Philadelphia Metropolitan Opera House. Originally built in 1908 by opera impresario Oscar Hammerstein, The Met Philadelphia underwent a $56 million restoration in partnership with Live Nation, Eric Blumenfeld and Holy Ghost Headquarters to transform the historic theater into the crown jewel of North Broad Street’s renaissance.

Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show | June 7-9

Happening twice a year, the oldest outdoor fine arts show in the country (97 years strong in 2024) returns to the perimeter of Rittenhouse Square and features works by more than 140 professional artists specializing in media ranging from sculpture to paintings.

The Philadelphia Orchestra: Yannick Conducts La bohème | June 7-9

Fresh from conducting the spring 2023 engagement of La bohème at the Metropolitan Opera, Yannick Nézet-Séguin leads this performance, bringing Puccini’s immortal score out of the pit and onto the stage. Yannick served as a consultant/coach to Philadelphia’s own Bradley Cooper as he prepared for his role in Netflix’s Maestro.

Once on This Island | June 7-9
